Raiders and Date Night
Hopefully, Rodgers finds the door soon because we are all ready for the quarterback dominos to start falling.
The craziest thing happened to me last weekend, I got home early from work on Friday, and my wife told me she wanted to go to dinner... So I asked her where she wanted to go, and believe it or not, she gave me a definite answer. Being married to a woman who only likes four restaurants, this was nothing short of a Christmas miracle. Then the worst thing happened. I woke up from my dream and realized it was Monday morning, and I was late for work. Unfortunately, like most husbands, I have this dream a lot.
When my wife asks me to go for dinner, I get excited that we might get wings, but I know we will probably go to Panera Bread. Panera bread is fine; even though they have excellent macaroni and cheese.
Unfortunately, Raider fans are like most husbands when their wife asks them if they want to go to dinner. They think they are getting Aaron Rodgers, but they are probably getting Jimmy Garoppolo or Andy Dalton, which is disrespectful to Panera Bread, I know. The Raiders are like date night with your wife when you're both hungry, and you are driving past amazing places to eat, and your wife doesn't want any of them because she knows what she wants and isn't going to pick a place until you pass it and have to turn around. This sounds exactly like them on draft night every year when they pass all these great players for "their guy," Alex Leatherwood or Henry Ruggs.
At this point, we are all over Aaron Rodgers. The darkness retreat was interesting, but can he find the door? What is taking so long? Will he see his shadow? He may have lost track of time, but this whole thing has taken too long. He is either going to be a Raider or retire, and anyone who enjoys time in complete darkness is either getting ready for retirement or ready for the "Black Hole." Even if the Raiders get Aaron Rodgers, I don’t see their season being much different. Rodgers can't fix their defense that has more holes than swiss cheese.
Hopefully, Rodgers finds the door soon because we are all ready for the quarterback dominos to start falling.
