Below are all my favorite week 16 waiver wire options with roster percentages under 68% on Sleeper. Rankings are HPPR with the help of PFF before MNF.
Quarterbacks
Baker Mayfield (54%) Woke up feeling dangerous against the Packers and had his best game of the season. Got Chris Godwin involved; that should continue this week vs. the Jags, as both teams play must-win games.
Jake Browning (43%) We should have known that he was gonna go off against the team that cut him. Got a boost from an amazing TD stretch by Tee Higgins. Plays the Steelers this week. '
Joe Flacco (31%), our comeback player of the year, just keeps getting it done. Takes on the Texans this week and has a safe floor.
Hail Mary
Aidan O'Connell (7%) threw 4 TDs in the first half against the Chargers, a tough matchup this week vs. KC. I'm not sure if he can catch lightning in a bottle twice.
Running backs
Gus Edwards(69%) takes the lead role back with Keaton Mitchell being out for the season; Gus had produced this year and should be rostered in all formats. All aboard the Gus bus for playoffs.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (46%) created some plays catching passes this week. Made a really nice TD catch that boosted his numbers. The Chiefs go with the hot hand; maybe Clyde may be the guy for their playoff push.
Ty Chandler (55%): as long as Mattison is out, I love Ty Chandler; he has a nice matchup this week vs. the Lions.
Wide Receiver
Noah Brown (46%) Was targeted 11 times by Case Keenum; these targets should be from C.J. Stroud this week. Even though it's a tough matchup, the volume should continue.
Jayden Reed (67%) has been on this list for 4 straight weeks. At least 13 fantasy points in 5 out of his last 6 games. Takes on the Panthers this week.
Demarcus Robinson (10%)3 straight games with touchdown catches, Stafford trusts him.
YOLO Ball
Curtis Samuel (47%) had 2 TDs this week; I doubt that will happen again.
Tight Ends
Isaiah Likely (62%) has filled in about as well as you could for Mark Andrews' back-to-back double-digit games. He will be needed in this week's game vs. the 49ers.
Hunter Henry (21%) had 3 TDs in 2 games. Sign me up. Zappe loves him, I love him, and you should, too.
